Calgary Sun Calgary Herald The Hockey News tsn.ca nhl.com sportsnet.ca View Results NCHL Summer 2009 All-Star   Posted by: Administrator Tuesday, June 30, 2009 Well we are less than 2 weeks from the NCHL All-Star event taking place at Father David Bauer Arena on Saturday July 18th.  We will once again be having a 1 hour skills competition followed by a 1.25 hour game. Times vary by division between 12pm and 8pm.   This season will have 1 representative from each team, as well as 3 goalies from each conference.  We are asking each team GM to nominate their player most deserving of attending the All-Star event, and players in the NCHL to nominate the best goalies they have played against this season.  This should set the All-Star up to be a very enjoyable day where teammates and families are encouraged to attend and cheer on this seasons NCHL All-Star crop.   Please make sure your player and goalie nominations are submitted to allstar@nchl.com prior to July 4th so we can set the teams.     Winter 2009-10 Registration Info  Posted by: Administrator Thursday, June 04, 2009 Winter 2009-10 season registration information is now available. Notice to all Teams and Players  Posted by: Administrator Thursday, May 14, 2009 The NCHL has a zero tolerance policy on drinking in the dressing rooms and on arena property before and after your games. Many arenas within the city have already started banning teams from entering their premises due to alcohol consumption on their property, North East Sportsplex being the most recent example. Any teams that have been banned from any arena due to alcohol consumption in the dressing rooms or on the arena property will have all future games within that arena cancelled with a forfeit loss and the team will receive no reimbursement for any future games lost. It is important that all players abide by these rules set forth by the arenas to avoid disruption of scheduled games and to keep the NCHL in good standings with all arenas. Your team will be in the sports section. How cool is that?   The NCHL will now have a regular page in the SUN, running every second Monday in the sports section read by over 100,000 Calgarians. The page will feature team standings, top 5 players and goalies in each division, player or team of the month and a special league editorial. The editorial will showcase stories about the league, teams and of course you the players.   By now you may be wondering how you can participate. It is simple, you can write a story and send it to us at news@nchl.com .If it is a good story we’ll publish it and give you full credit for everyone in the city to see. Same goes for pictures, send us an interesting hockey picture you took and we could publish it, with full credit going to you.   Now, we have limited space in the paper so not everything will get published there. To make sure all good stories and pictures get out, the stories we cannot publish in the paper will be published on a dedicated league blog http://www.sun.nchl.com/ along with the stories we publish in the SUN.
